Tough times never last but tough people do !!

Life is full of uncertainties. We cannot predict, what happens next moment. Who had thought that the pandemic Covid-19 would affect the people worldwide? This dangerous contagious disease has paralyzed the lives of people. The world is going through this tough time like never before. The microscopic virus has threatened the existence of human beings. We cannot see through our naked eyes, but it is prevalent everywhere.
This pandemic not only takes it’s toll, but also heralds a great message for the generations to come. Since there is no medication for the virus, the infected person battles against it through their own immunity. So, the sustainable solution to fight against these virus is to enhance your innate immunity. The development of vaccines is very arduous and it should go through various trial phases before it is applied in the larger society.
As far, observing the transmigration of this virus, it is more rapidly spreading in the developed region like Europe and America in comparison to developing countries. The people of Europe and America are meant to be more civilized, more educated and more informed rather than people of Asia and Africa. But the statistics shows exactly the opposite case in damage done by the virus.
Let’s talk about the preparedness of our country. We didn’t take enough measures to combat this unprecedented pandemic even after the outbreak in china became worst. We had enough time to collect the resources required during the time of emergency but the government complacency and inactivity has made Nepal prone to imminent dangers. The prime minister is the guardian for the people to comfort them and to provide faith and hope but he,himself is bed ridden. We need to solace ourselves.
So now let’s discuss some of the important messages taught to us by this pandemic. Nature is god. We have long neglected the different dimensions of nature. A lot of damage has been done in the name of development. So we need to  rectify our mistakes now on-wards and always put nature first. We are globally connected to each other. So what we do has direct impact on the world. A simple virus originated in Wuhan, China has now permeates every corner of the world.
Let’s pray to God that this situation will be over soon. Let’s be grateful for all the medical and paramedical personnel striving to save us risking their own lives. Let’s pray for the scientific community who are on consistent endeavors to find the cure for this pandemic. Let us be aware but not panic.
As mentioned in the book “Tough times never last but tough people do !!” written by Robert Schuller he mainly discusses how individuals can overcome obstacles. According to Schuller, a large percentage of the individuals who transcend their problems are those who never stop believing. These individuals believe in themselves and the creator. Schuller teaches that no problem lasts forever because you’ll always find a solution. Schuller writes that an individual cannot emerge from a problem unchanged, because problems never leave us the way they found us. They make us stronger and enable us to realize our faults.
It is the time where we should co-operate to the government decisions and policies. Lockdown has proved to be the immediate preventive measure to control the transmission of the virus. The vigorous testing method is the only way to find the infected people which also paves the way to isolate and quarantine those who fall in the risk zone. This method has been successfully carried out by Singapore, South korea where the prevalence of the disease has been contained.
Time and again, we the Nepalese people have shown our resilience, dedication to hard times like earthquake and other epidemics. So we shall also pass through the corona virus disease outbreak. Since this is a global outbreak, we can adopt the various methods practiced by countries who have successfully mitigated the play of the virus.
